Carotene Red

Color Care For Dry Mixing

This formula is a pure blend of Carotenoids abound in nature. We see them as colors in the rich red and golden hues of Autumn, and among harvested fruits and vegetables. Even in colorful species of fish, fowl, and Red Cardinals or the Majestic Flamingo and the beautiful red/orange ground Color Bred Canaries.

This product is a blend of 3 very important carofills which are balances of Carotene and Canthaxanthin used in proportions by many master breeders in Europe. With Carotene Red, you can obtain and maintain the rich red orange shades you desire in your birds. It is simple to use and feed. Birds will ingest it 100% and without any mess. Carotene Red can be mixed with Extra Potent Red Eggfood, Regular Red Eggfood, or any other Eggfood mix.

Instructions

Add one level teaspoon of Carotene Red formula to 2 pounds of Eggfood (Regular Red, Extra Potent Red, etc.). Carotene Red is formulated for dry mixing only (no more messy red water all over your aviary). This mixture will activate and turn red when lightly moistened or may be fed dry.

Caution: The small doses mixed in your dry nestling formula is more than enough to produce a beautiful deep red orange color. Sometimes you may notice red droppings. There is nothing wrong with this, but you are feeding over the saturation level. You can reduce the dosage of Carotene Red formula. High dosages of anything is not healthy, so reduce the color dosage but do not remove it completely while moulting season.

How To Color Feed:

Due to contrary belief, you must color feed from the first day a baby hatches so you achieve an even Red Orange Color all over. Feed from the first day, till wings, tail and feathers are out (14-15 days). You may discontinue or make a mild (maintenance) mix until the babies are 40 days old. Baby birds start the prejuvenal moult in about 45 days of life. After the 40 days you must feed the formula STRONG until they are out of the moulting period completely. It is very difficult too give an exact date because all birds moult short/long or early/late.

How To Use:

Strong: 2 level teaspoons = 10 grams to 2 lbs. nestling/conditioning.

Normal: 1 level teaspoon = 5 grams to 2 lbs. nestling/conditioning.

Maintenance:	1/2 teaspoon = 2 grams to 2 lbs. nestling/conditioning.
(can be used in rest period)
